Miramar mother faces charges after boy, 3, is left alone
MIRAMAR--A
Miramar mother could face child-neglect charges for leaving her 3-year-old home
alone on Monday.
Officers responded to an alarm at the home in the 13400 block of Southwest 26th
Street at 3:02 p.m., said Capt. Bruce Keesling of the Miramar Police Department.
They heard the boy crying inside.
That's
when Nancy Iglesias, 31, arrived home with damage to the front of her car. She
told police she hit another car in Miramar while rushing to make it home before
the boy woke up.
Police have notified the Department of Children & Families. Iglesias was
cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving too close to another car.
