Miramar residents oppose plan for storage units

MIRAMAR--Residents came out in full force to oppose plans to build a four-story storage facility on the southwest corner of Miramar Parkway and Dykes Road, saying it's too tall for the area.

After hearing comments from homeowners Wednesday, the city commission put off voting on the rezoning needed for Storage Mart to move forward with its project. The commission recommended that the residents and representatives from the storage facility meet to find a compromise.
